This book is great.
I havent read this book in years. It was so good that I keep going to the library to take it out, but it is always gone,or someone steals them as fast as they get new ones. The author spent his whole life doing what I wish I could,Searching the fields and streams of NY. and getting paid for it. I want to buy one and keep it in my safe.

Published in Unknown Binding by University of Pittsburgh Press ()
Author: James Howard Bridge
Average review score:

This is the one!!!
This review is very simple. If you're looking at this page, BUY THIS BOOK!!! I am a steel historian and I've had this book for about 7 years. I refer to it at least 2-3 times per month. Even if you're just curious about Carnegie, Frick, Schwab or the other personalities, this is the book for you. If you're interested in the business building aspects, this is the book for you. If you're interested in history at all, buy this book. Without a doubt this is the best book on the Carnegie Steel Company. If you read any book about the steel industry, make sure this is the one.

Inspire Yourself
Published in Paperback by New Life Foundation (March, 1975)
Author: Vernon Howard
Average review score:

Valuable Wisdom
This is the first Vernon Howard book I read and as I was first glancing at it at the store I realized it had answers I had been looking for for a long time and I just had to buy it. The book contains short, paragraph - long stories that illustrate a point of wisdom. As one story points out - "If we could only see it, we are at the mercy of absolutely nothing except our own wrong thinking." Vernon Howard's teachings are mainly about how we are not our thoughts, we are something beyond that and we can experience this through study and practice. As far as this book goes it gives many new ways to look at things and experience life. If you are interested in trying out Vernon Howard I recommend this book or "The Power of your Supermind" as a first read.

Instrumental Music Printed Before 1600: A Bibliography
Published in Paperback by iUniverse.com (February, 2000)
Author: Howard Mayer Brown
Average review score:

Renaissance scholars and performers rejoice!
Decades after its initial publication and after having been out of print for too many years, it's great to see Howard Mayer Brown's bibliography on instrumental back in circulation. This highly- respected resource is of continuing use to any scholar interested in instrumental music of the renaissance. The sheer number of entries and the detail of their citations makes this source an easy to use and never-ending aid to those who need to check a detail quickly, those who want to compile more specific bibliographies of renaissance music, or even those early music performers seeking new repertoire. Aside from Daniel Heartz' bibliography of music published by Pierre Attaingnant which includes both vocal and instrumental music, few secondary sources provide as much information for renaissance scholars and performers alike. With its re-release, users no longer have to stay in the library to consult this valuable source.

International Relations and the Limits of Political Theory
Published in Hardcover by Palgrave Macmillan (September, 1996)
Author: Howard Williams
Average review score:

From International Affairs: review by N. Rengger
Quote (p352, IA 1997): As one would expect from williams, the essays are well-crafted and thoughtful. Not the least of his strengths as a political theorist is his ability to read sympathetically and comment on seemingly very familiar texts and bring something new to the surface. ... Overall, the book is an illuminating and successful exercise in genre and disciplinary building which has a good deal to offer political theorists and international relations specialists. It deserves a wide readership.
